Communication and Works Department doesn't only deal with the bricks and mortar, nuts and bolts. It has another very crucial dimension associated to it. It is that the roads it builds are travelled by millions of living souls daily. Similarly the buildings it constructs are inhabited by millions of people. Looking things in that perspective, the works carried out by the Communication and Works department has a direct bearing on the safety of millions of precious lives. It is therefore paramount for it that a blend of quality, skill and utmost dedication is applied while carrying out its functions. Furthermore, the major chunk of the development fund is consumed by the Communication and Works department. Hence it is also important that transparency is ensured by its ranks and files.
