Job Description

1.      He / She will report to the Chief Engineer (CDO) and will look after overall management and affairs as head of Architectural wing of Central Design Office, C&WD.

2.      To carry out Architecture designing, Master planning, addition / alteration / renovation / remodeling of new and existing building projects and presentation to client deptt / competent forum for approval before execution / implementation, included in ADP / Non ADP/ Chief Ministers Directives and Governors directives as well as policy of the Government.

3.      To assist technically and vet the architecture design drawings and Master planning to improve the Architecture before framing the PC-I.

4.      Standardization of architectural design of buildings for all sectors such as health, education, Judiciary, Administration etc.

5.      To carryout Interior designing, landscaping and beautification / improvement of public sector projects.

6.      To play crucial role with coordination with his / her subordinate officers to study detail site features and to make sure optimum utilization of available resources and allocation.

7.      To visit personally or assign the duty to subordinate officer to under construction building projects as and when demanded by the field formation client department as per architectural design drawings for the building projects ensuring the client requirements.

8.      To Act as advisor to Secretary C&WD and all the Chief Engineers C&WD on site selection, suitability, function, site features and availability of services for efficient architectural designing and master planning of all sectors.

9.      To vet all the architecture designs prepared by the consulting firms if the Chief Engineer C&WD desires for technical reports.

10. To attend any meeting on behalf of Chief Engineer (CDO) regarding matters related to the Architectural wing of the Central Design office.

11. To evaluate the performance of the Senior Architect / staff & Submission of report for further necessary action.

12. Any other task assigned by Secretary C&WD and Chief Engineer (CDO) C&WD.

13. He / She will be responsible of Architecture design / Master Planning, Addition, Alteration and remodeling of existing architecture design assigned to CDO.
