C&W department observes Youm-e-Istehsal

Description

Youm-e-Istehsal  is observed in Pakistan on August 5th every year. It marks the anniversary of India's revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, which removed the special status of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK). This move was widely condemned in Pakistan and by Kashmiri people, as it was seen as a violation of UN resolutions and an attempt to change the demography and identity of Kashmir. C&W Department

  • Recognizes this important day.
  • Participates in awareness or symbolic activities (e.g., speeches, banners, wearing black bands, silence, social media campaigns).
  • Shows support for the people of Kashmir who are suffering due to oppression and lockdowns imposed by the Indian government.
